Torrents stuck downloading metadata?

 · Certain magnet links are stuck on "Downloading metadata". Restarting the torrent do not work. Pause and Start. Restarting qbittorrent do not work. It shows many seeds and peers but it is not fetching the torrent file. Earlier, PIA said that a new version was available, and I had allowed it to upgrade itself. I found that PIA had created a new network adapter, with a different name than. Turn off proxy, wait for metadata to download, turn on proxy and it keeps downloads. This is using docker inside a FreeNAS VM of RancherOS. The proxy used is privateinternetaccess.
